The paper describes a research of modern algorithms for computer technical vision and proposes their application to determine the geometric parameters and orientation of the workpiece inside the working area of the machine-tool. An algorithm for the use of computer technical vision based on a stereopair of images of the working area was developed and tested to determine the measurement errors.
