Civilizational approach to research of the development of society

The  article  considers  the  basic  issues,  social  problems  and  terminological  apparatus  of  the  civilizational  approach. On  basis  of  the  author’s  terminology  the  key  issues  of  the  safety  of  civilizational  development  are  formulated.
