High speed machining (HSM) of workpieces

The description of high speed machining of workpieces in machine building is presented. Advantages and disadvantages of the process, reasons for its using, workpieces this method is most affective to apply are also presented. Equipment and tools used when high speed machining is carried out, cutting material structure, main characteristics of the tool are described. Indispensable conditions of the machining process are also pointed out.
