Increase in piston ring characteristics by application of effective antifriction materials

In this paper we study the problem of wear and repair of piston rings in engines, evaluate the properties of the materials from which the piston rings are made. To increase the service life and resistance to wear factors various methods are offered: the application of anti-friction coatings and the usage of cermets. Features of the various anti-friction coatings are marked.
