The article presents the formulation and solution of the plane problem of compressing a plastic strip between two parallel rough planes, supplemented by asymmetry of the conditions on the spreading ends. An upper estimate of the total compression force of the fronted regions of a plastically stretchable strip is found, and when it is reached, plastic sediment of its frontier parts occurs simultaneously with the plastic stretching of the strip. It was shown that with further deformation, thinning and detachment occur not in the middle of its stretchable part, but near the inner boundary of the contact (grip).
