Possibilities of increasing the efficiency of machine building enterprises construction and development projects management by using building information modeling (BIM) are explored. It shows that most benefits of machine building plants information modeling are fully or partially achieved using BIM. Advantages of BIM-technologies application in existing project management fields of knowledge – quality, risk, cost, time, scope, human resources, stakeholders and procurement management – are systematized. Therefore, a sequential logical scheme "BIM-technology-project management-enterprises efficiency - machine building competitiveness" is suggested.
