Study of diffusion mechanisms in the "substratum of instrumental material cover»

The study investigated the diffusion processes of a carbide tool with multilayer composite nano-structured Ti-TiCN-TiAlCN and Ti-TiCN-TiAlCrCN coatings, obtained by filtered cathodic vacuum-arc deposition (FCVAD). Diffusion processes in the system of tool substrate-coating material during machining were investigated for a tool without coating, with a monolithic coating of TiN and with the studied multilayer composite nanostructured coatings.
