Improving the performance of carbide cutting tools by the directed selection of mechanical properties of functional layers of the multilayer coating

Presents the results of investigations of structure parameters and mechanical properties of multi-element coatings on the basis of which the developed architecture of multi-layer coatings. The possibility of improving the performance of carbide tools with multilayer coatings due to directional selection in mechanical properties of functional layers.
