Modeling of thin-walled half sphere deep drawing

Computer numerical simulation of thin-walled half sphere deep drawing from flat sheet by rigid punch is developed. The rigid-plastic model of workpiece material with Mises yield criterion and associated flow rule are used, including plastic work hardening and wall thickness variation effects. The simulation results are compared with experimental data of stainless steel half sphere deep drawing.
