A large performance potential of the application of worm gears in machines of different purpose causes a necessity of the updating of methodologies and algorithms of calculation and modeling of worm gears, in that number under the thermal resistance criterion. In that article a description of the updated algorithm of numerical simulation of thermal transfer in worm gears using a finite elements method is cited. Examples of calculating parameter oriented models of worm reducers are presented.
