Wear assessment of the cutting tool based on the measurement of lathe spindle rotation unevenness

This paper describes the possibility of assessing turning tool cutting edge wear using cyclic machines phase-chronometric method of diagnostic, developed at the Department of Metrology and interchangeability BMSTU. 
Provided a mathematical model of the spindle-tool-item on the basis of which was produced computer experiment and conclusions are drawn about the possibilities of the method. The model considered stationary mode of treatment for which was derived analytic expression relating the measured value (intervals) with the cutting edge wear.
