Application of generic high order functions for parallel processing of raster images

This paper considers the problem of implementation of parallel image processing algorithms in various runtime environments: multi-processor systems, distributed systems, graphics processors. A method ofconstructingalgorithms based on generalized higher-order functions in map-reduce approach is proposed.
