The possibilities of improving the procurement production of metalworking enterprises that use long and flat products due to the usage of waste-free shear cutting in dies and scissors are considered. Traditional approaches to develope new processes based on physical modeling are described. Based on the experimental results, mathematical models are developed in the form of regression equations for determining geometric parameters.
The stress-strain state in the process of cutting rolled steel into strip blanks on multi-disc shears is determined. These results made it possible to control the setting of technological parameters of the equipment depending on the mechanical properties ofrolled products and their thickness, as well as to improve the quality ofthe workpiece separation surface.
