The article deals with the study of the process offorming the complex profile surface of the amber cabochon in order to identify classification criteria for constructing a geometric model, highlighting production lines and based on the frame-kinematic theory of surface formation for the developed geometric model, a kinematic structure of the machine with new properties is proposed. A comparative analysis of the proposed kinematic structure and a Polish-made machine tool is carried out and prospects for its improvement are also evaluated.
