The paper presents the analysis of design features and recommendations for the production of solid end mills made fromcompetitive grades of cutting ceramics and used for machining of hard-to-cut materials. A description of production of a blank from nanostructured Al2O3–TiC ceramics using spark plasma sintering is given. In addition, a design and manufacturing process for production of solid ceramic end mill is described.
